Unwind And Dine At Um Doiss Tres! Seriously, Don’t Wait Till We Finish Counting
I’ve always wanted to travel to Portugal, but I took a look at my bank account and that about does it. So, I decided to go next year (fingers crossed). Until then, I’ll let my palate do the travelling! Yep, I visited Um, Doiss, Tres!
Nestled in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, this elegant 90-cover resto-bar, with its modern décor and a warm vibe is stylish and spells comfort! Also, with its low lighting and soft music, you can actually have a conversation with your friends and family. I’m saying this because most of the places we visit these days are quite loud; you can barely hear what the other person is saying. So, if you want to pour your heart out or listen, you know where to go!
What caught my eye was the well-stocked bar and some skilled mixologists. I was sure that my palate was going to have a party, and I wasn’t wrong! We ordered the Singapore sling and the Melon Martini, and I must tell you, we loved it!
Singapore Sling
Made with Gordon’s gin, this cocktail tastes exactly how it looks: Fruity!
Ingredients: Gin, cherry liqueur, orange, pineapple and lime juice.
Honestly, that tangerine wedge and cherry on top made me feel like I’m on a real holiday! Doesn’t it look like the perfect summer drink?
Melon Martini
This one tastes fresh! Made with Ketel one vodka, this refreshing drink is nothing but melony goodness. Not too sweet, not too strong, just the right balance.
Ingredients: Ketel one vodka, fresh melon, mint and melon liqueur.
So, If you love all things fresh, go for this one!
Here’s a glimpse of what happened behind the scenes.
And voila!
Cheers!
Now, it’s time for food! After scanning through the menu (which is quite vast, btw) it not only includes Portuguese cuisine, but they also offer modern European, Mexican and Mediterranean dishes! We were kind of stuck in a delicious dilemma...so, we let the chef decide for us! And Chef Vikrant was kind enough to pick the best for us.
Cajun Tossed Potato Wedges
For the love of Potatoes, pick this one! These wedges are so good, they taste like little pillows filled with all things yum. And if you love cheese, make sure you dip your potato nice and deep in the jalapeno queso to indulge in some “dip” conversations! After all, potato wedges are called a starter.
Pork Chorizo Stew
As I was craving something tangy and spicy at the same time, Chef suggested that I go for the Pork Chorizo Stew. Honestly, it was love at first whiff! With all the spices, veggies and pork coming together in one bowl, this stew is like a warm hug on a rainy day.
Roast Garlic Chicken Espetada
Espetada is a portuguese term used to describe food cooked on skewers. The minute it arrived to our table, we were in awe for more than a few minutes! The juiciest pieces of chicken were strung together on this skewer and it was a glorious treat to all my 5 senses. I’d say just go for it!
SerraDura
We decided to end things on a sweet note, so we picked a dessert called Serra dura (A.K.A, the Sawdust Pudding). This, not only satisfied our sweet tooth craving, but also taught us a fun fact - Serra dura was invented by the Portuguese who wanted to serve their guests, but since there were just cookie crumbles and cream at home, they decided to put it together! Here's to the yummiest jugaad!
Some people walk to digest their food but I decided to talk. That’s when Sunil, our waiter, told us that they serve sheesha and host a lot of gigs, like the open mic and live performances. So, what are you waiting for? Just head to Um Doiss Tres already!
“Actions speak louder than words”, they say. So, here’s how I felt about this place.
Need I say more? Okay, I heard some of you go “ Yes”. So, here’s the rate card.

Chef and SocialGoat recommend the Espetada! I wouldn’t mind visiting this place at least once a month just to eat this succulent chicken and sip on these yummilicious cocktails!
