Stages Of Emotions You Go Through When You Watch Cricket
When it comes to cricket, India is all about the feels! Seriously, no matter which team you're rooting for, every single match is a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
Believe it or not, there’s more than one way, people emote during the cricket season. Here, let me list them out for you.
1.The ‘I’m so excited’ emotion
It all begins on the day when match is about to start. You know you’re not the one playing, but you’re super excited for the game and you just can’t keep calm.
2.The ‘patience ka phal cricket hota hai’ emotion
On a regular day, you usually manage to reach home on time. But when your game is about to start at 6 pm, you somehow get stuck at work or in a traffic jam. And that’s where you learn patience!
3.The ‘now we anticipate’ wala emotion
Now you’re all ready with your food and drinks. You sit in front of the TV to watch the match, but the team is warming up a little too much. The commentators are talking about everything under the sky. So, you wait calmly at first and then you anticipate for the match to begin.
4.The ‘bohot khush hue hum’ wala emotion
It’s time! The players are ready to play the game. Now, you can just put everything else on hold (even the popcorn aside) and watch your fave game.
5.The ‘fear factor’ wala emotion!
That ball that you thought was going to be a ‘sixer’ is still in the air! You can see the fielder trying to catch it and you don’t know what’s going to happen. The fear is real!
6.The ‘what the heck’ emotion
How did he manage to get out so early? Why couldn’t he focus on the game? How did he miss the catch? Yeah, this emotion is full of questions that are going to be unanswered. Kya yaar!
7.The ‘happy dance’ wala emotion
What happens when you can’t contain your happiness? You dance! This usually happens when someone hits a sixer or when your team wins. Yep. This is the only time when my dad channels his inner Chandler Bing.
8.The ‘Why oh why’ wala emotion
When you see your team almost winning the game, but it doesn’t. That so close, yet so far... feeling is the worst! But it’s okay its a game after all.
9.‘My life needs a purpose wala’ emotion
Now that the match is over, what do you do? That soona-soona feeling lasts for a while that’s when you go out with friends, watch a movie and within no time it’s time for the next match again!
Let’s admit it, you’ve all gone through all of the above emotions. If you said ‘yes’, pour yourself a glass of your favourite Royal Challenge Sports drink.
